If you have reached this page it’s probably because you are considering giving us a wedding present. Firstly, thank you very much, we are very grateful!

Between us we already have lots of “stuff” so we don’t really need any traditional home-making items (unless you’d like to buy us a house to put them in 🙂 ). However, we would really like to go to South Africa or Australia (not sure which yet) for a honeymoon, and so we’d love your gift to go towards that. We have set up a PayPal account for that purpose, but it’s worth explaining exactly how this works, even if you’re familiar with PayPal, as there are subtle differences between buying stuff and transferring money. Please read the following instructions carefully so you don’t end up contributing to someone else’s wedding fund!

If you want to transfer money directly from your UK PayPal account or your bank account, tick the “I’m sending money to family or friends” box. That way, the transfer will be free as PayPal doesn’t take a commission on that sort of transfer. You can also use a bank card to fund the transaction, but in that case a small fee (3.4%) will be deducted from the total amount transferred. You won’t be charged any extra but we will receive slightly less than you send. In real terms, if you send £30, we will receive about £28.95, if you send £100, we will receive about £96.50.
